Megan Kate Smith[1][2] (born c. 2002)[3] known professionally as Meg Bellamy, is an English actress. She is best known for her role as Kate Middleton in the sixth season of The Crown.
Early life and career[edit]
Bellamy was born in Leeds and lived there for five years.[4] She grew up in Wokingham, Berkshire and attended St Crispin’s School. She had an interest in performing from an early age, and respectively played Sandy and Miss Trunchbull in school productions of Grease and Matilda.[5][4]
Bellamy saw The Crown's open casting call for the role of young Kate Middleton on Twitter and TikTok.[6] She applied for the role only a few months after completing her A-Levels,[7] and was working at Legoland Windsor as a red brick lego mascot when she got the call that she got the part.[6]
