Chahuk (Persian: چاهوک is a village in Birk-e Sharqi Rural District of Birk District, Mehrestan County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran, and serves as capital of the district.^[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 710 in 167 households, when it was in Birk Rural District of the former Zaboli District of Saravan County.^[4] The following census in 2011 counted 948 people in 214 households,^[5] by which time the district had been separated from the county and become a part of the newly established Zaboli County^[3] (renamed Mehrestan County).^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,320 people in 311 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.^[2]

After the census, the rural district was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Birk District, which was divided into two rural districts.^[3]
