South African cricket team in New Zealand in 1998–99

The South African national cricket team toured New Zealand in February and March 1999 and played a three-match Test series against the New Zealand national cricket team. South Africa won the series 1–0. New Zealand were captained by Dion Nash and South Africa by Hansie Cronje. In addition, the teams played a six-match series of Limited Overs Internationals (LOI) which South Africa won 3–2.^[1]

Daryll Cullinan's 275 not out was, at the time, the highest Test score by a South African, surpassing Graeme Pollock's 274 against Australia at Durban in 1970.^[2] Geoff Allott made the longest Test duck during New Zealand's first innings, taking 101 minutes and facing 77 balls.^[3]
