Thomas Horn (actor)

Thomas Horn[1][2] (born 1997 or 1998)[3][4][5] is an American former child actor.[6] He played Oskar Schell in the 2011 feature film Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.[7][8][9][10] For his performance in that film, Horn won a Critics' Choice Award for Best Young Actor.[11][12] He also played Jimmy Hawkins in the 2013 television film Space Warriors.[13][14][15][16]

Horn was reportedly cast in Extreme Loud & Incredibly Close after film producer Scott Rudin discovered him in Jeopardy!, where Horn was a contestant.[17] He was to have appeared opposite Kris Kristofferson in a film titled Joe's Mountain.[18][19][20]

Personal life[edit]

Horn is from Oakland, California.[21] He was born to father Erich Horn, an eye surgeon[22] and Biljana Horn,[23] a pediatric oncologist.[24] Horn is of Croatian descent on his mother's side.[25]
